AVG and Walling Data Systems are delivering a comprehensive Internet security and virus protection solution for 26 Arkansas school district, one of the largest deployments geographically in the two companies' history.
As a Technology Coordinator for the Arch Ford Education Service Cooperative, Christy Trantina provides technology guidance to more than 26 school districts in seven counties of Arkansas. In addition, she is responsible for maintaining the health and security of the Co-Op's central network which includes six servers and 150 workstations.
In their own offices, Trantina and her staff were using the free version of AVG. "I trust the folks at AVG to secure our systems. I use AVG software at home too -- it is the only security software I use because I know it works."
As the Co-Op grew, it became clear that they needed to upgrade from the free product to a broader and more network-friendly commercial AVG solution due to the free products' home-use only license limitations and lack of features. She turned to Walling Data Systems -- the country's longest-standing distributor of AVG Technologies solutions and the highest-volume distributor in North America Walling specializes in the education and nonprofit sectors, and is the only distributor to offer all customers free, unlimited, U.S.-based support.
"Luckily, I've never needed product support personally because, for me, AVG is like the Maytag repair man -- you know he's there but you don't ever need him! But for my coordinators who are less familiar with the software and might have questions, I know the team at Walling will give them all the assistance they need. Taking care of their customers is important to them, and it shows in the service they provide."
