TopSchool, the first SaaS provider of administrative solutions optimized for small to mid-size higher education institutions, has announced the additions of Matthew Schnittman and Justin McMorrow to the positions of President and CEO, and Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, respectively.
“Matthew and Justin have clearly demonstrated success in the education technology space,” says Leon Lo, the original investor and founding CEO of TopSchool. “Their enthusiasm in leading the TopSchool team validates our initial vision and value proposition for higher education. Their connections also will allow us to reach more institutions quickly with our SaaS Student Lifecycle Management system.”
Schnittman, formerly the president of eCollege, served in various leadership capacities there for nine years. Schnittman helped take the company public in 1999, built its initial customer service models, and eventually led the sale of eCollege to Pearson Education in 2007.
McMorrow was the Vice President of Sales and Business Development at eCollege, where he also served in various leadership capacities for more than eight years. He was responsible for managing the sales team towards many large, multimillion dollar contracts. He also founded eClassroom, the K-12 division of eCollege, and is recognized as a leader in the virtual school space.
“The TopSchool opportunity is one we could not pass up, and we look forward to building on the company’s solid model and product suite,” says Schnittman. “The market is ready for a SaaS administrative solution built on next generation technologies. The flexibility and service we deliver to our client institutions will provide them with more effective and actionable information, which in turn will allow them to better serve their students.”
